Disney Kids Preschool Playdate

We received free products from Walt Disney World Resort and MomSelect in order to host the Disney Kids Preschool Playdate. The opinions expressed here are my own.

To say we were honored to be asked, as part of the Disney Social Media Moms team, to host a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate would be an understatement! We love working with our friends at Walt Disney World Resort and MomSelect and we love the focus they have on making sure that families are aware of all of the fun and practical ways that Walt Disney World meets the needs of preschoolers.

You may remember that we had a blast at our #DisneySide @ Home Celebration earlier this year so when we were invited again to have a party to share some Disney magic with our friends, we couldn't wait to start planning!

We received an incredible party kit in mail to help facilitate our playdate and let me just tell you that my four-year-old Sofia-the-First-loving-daughter was thrilled with everything included. She felt that this kit was packed especially for her, and I would not doubt it a bit! We can not continue without first saying that we are so grateful to the generous sponsors of the #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate including Mega Bloks, Crunchmaster, Clif Kid, Kinetic Sand from Spin Master, Walt Disney World Resorts, and MomSelect. Our kit was filled with some really fun things to enjoy at the party, a ton of party and decorating supplies, and some gifts to send home with our friends.

Here's a peek inside our party...

We had balloons, because what's a party without balloons? These sweet Sofia the First balloons were the perfect addition to our decorating!

We pulled out the Mickey Mouse Beanbag Toss game! This is a super easy DIY project that we originally created for our DisneySide @ Home Celebration. All it takes is a hula hoop (this one has seen better days... it's a little square), a couple of cardboard ear cutouts, and some black felt! We have some little bean bags and our preschool friends loved tossing them through Mickey as he hung from the attic!

We set our table with all of the lovely Sofia the First decorations included in our party kit and we served several yummy snacks including cupcakes with purple frosting (of course), fruit salad cups, and crackers and cheese.

We had heart shaped sugar cookies with purple icing and sprinkles for decorating.

We also included some Clif Kid Z Bar Protein bars, a favorite snack of ours...

and Crunchmaster Grammy Crisps which I had never tried before this party but now really love! They are so crispy and have the perfect combination of sweet and salty. They are also gluten free!

We served water and juice and of course, did what we could to fancy those up for the occasion! You can check out our water bottle label tutorial if you're interested.

I think you can see that everything was a big hit!

I have found that despite my best efforts to structure games, crafts, and activities at playdates, it doesn't always work out that well for preschoolers. They are always just so excited to spend time with each other and play with each other's toys. My daughter specifically asked that I not plan any crafts or games for the group this time around. I was able to sneak in a little bit of Disney fun however, thanks to some great things included in our party kit...

We played with Mega Bloks and colored Disney Junior themed coloring sheets. You can download your own coloring sheets for free over on the Disney Junior website. There are tons of them with all of your favorite characters and shows. They are great!

We played with Disney puzzles. We received this great heart shaped Sofia the First puzzle in our kit and also used the Doc McStuffins one we already had.

We spent lots of time playing with Kinetic Sand from Spin Master. This stuff is amazing! Some of our friends were already familiar with it but Kinetic Sand was new to us. We really really love it! It's so neat to play with because it sort of sticks together... but doesn't feel sticky! And clean-up is so easy... you just push all the sand together, it clumps up, you pick it up, and put it away. It's hard to explain so you just need to get some and try it! We were actually so busy playing with our Kinetic Sand at the party that we forgot to take pictures of it in action! Here's a picture of us trying it out with a friend a few days earlier in anticipation!

The girls planned a really fun and super giggly princess parade (this never would have happened if I had structured this playdate as much as I originally intended to, right?!)

I think you can tell that we had a really great time at our #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate! Whether you are at the Walt Disney World Resort or in your own home with friends, you can experience that joyful Disney magic. Through toys, games, decorations, themed food and drinks, music (did I mention we played Sofia the First music throughout our playdate?), or simply just letting your Disney Kids be Disney Kids, your time is sure to be special.

I almost forgot! We gave out some pretty fun goodie bags which included some Disney Luggage Tags, Disney Junior Fortune Tellers, Sofia the First Amulets, stickers and more stickers, tiaras, bubbles, CLIF Kid Z Bar Protein Bars, homemade Pixie Dust Playdough, Princess themed Kellogg's Fruit Snacks and Disney Chore Charts! Thanks again to our sponsors for helping us fill this us with some fun treats and snacks!

Have you considered having a party with your preschool friends... just because? You don't need a birthday to celebrate! Just get together and have some good old fashioned fun! Disney has lots of fun ideas, recipes, printable, and activities to help you plan the perfect #DisneyKids or #DisneySide celebration in your own home! You can plan your own party with the tools on the #DisneySide Celebrations website.

And by the way... I love planning these parties so if you want to plan one but feel stuck, I'm happy to help with ideas! Another great place to look for ideas is on any social media channel... just search for the hashtag #DisneyKids or #DisneySide!

One more thing... extra special thanks to our amazing preschool princess friends! We had so much fun at our playdate but it wouldn't have been nearly as great without you... and your moms!
