Snow Cream

I've spent a fair amount of time today on the couch, staying warm by the fire, browsing my Facebook newsfeed... in my opinion, a great way to ride out the Blizzard of 2015! I've seen numerous friends share recipes for snow cream today. Snow cream, you ask? Yes, SNOW cream... as in ice cream... except made out of snow! I (a little bit) thought this was kind of crazy. Although I have a four year old who eats snow like it's going out of style so this is right up our alley.

Given that we are huge ice cream fans but didn't stock up before the storm given the potential of power outages melting our frozen goods, snow cream is perfect for us! Despite the lack of ice cream in the freezer, we have a seemingly unending supply of snow! We're working our way up to 3 feet of snow today (as of 3:00 this afternoon we were at 27 inches!)

So here you have it, friends... the recipe for snow cream...

Mix it all together and enjoy! The result is a very tasty and super fun, memory-making winter treat that you (and especially your kiddos) will love!

We served our snow cream immediately and froze what was leftover. When I took it out later on and crushed it up, it was just as delicious if not more so!

Let me know if you try it!

It's not often that I purchase things specifically for the purpose of pampering myself but every once in a while it's good to take care of you! Over the past year I've done a bit of splurging on new makeup supporting a great friend who is selling great products and I've really enjoyed helping her at the same time that I'm helping myself both look and feel better! I'll be honest though. Although I've splurged on the makeup, I have not splurged on the tools so I'm still applying my makeup using the sponges that come with my cream and powder foundations (yuck).

Needless to say, I was excited when I was given the opportunity to try the Yalmeh Foundation Brush. I thought for sure that this would improve the application, coverage, and overall use of my cream and powder foundations.

One of my favorite things to find is an email from my friends at Disney Parks and Mom Select! Today we were offered another opportunity host a Disney Side @ Home Celebration and we could not be more excited!

We love showing our #DisneySide and there is no better way to do that than with great friends! Have you had a chance to check out our past Disney themed parties?

Last winter we hosted a super fun Mickey and Minnie themed party for a bunch of our favorite family friends.

And just a couple of months ago we hosted the sweetest Sofia the First Disney Kids Preschool Playdate for our favorite preschool princesses.

We can't wait to start planning our next celebration!

We are always looking for new ideas to add to our next party... do you have any to share?
